SEO is easy to sell and hard for a buyer to check, because results take months and the work is mostly invisible. That makes it easy to pay for a long time before you find out nothing useful was done. Use these eight checks before you pay any SEO company in Bangladesh.
1. Do they promise a guaranteed number one ranking?
Treat this as a reason to walk away. No company controls Google's results, and Google's own guidance warns that nobody can guarantee a number one ranking. A good company will talk about the work it will do and how progress will be measured.
2. Which keywords will they target, and why?
Ranking for a phrase nobody searches for is easy and worthless. Ask for the target keywords and the reason for each one. A phrase like "web development company in Dhaka" is usually worth more to an agency than a single word like "website", because the person searching wants to hire someone.
3. Will they start with an audit?
A serious company looks at your site before prescribing anything: technical errors, page speed, content gaps and what competitors are doing. If the proposal is identical for every client, the work probably will be too.
4. What exactly do you get each month?
"Monthly SEO" means nothing without a list. Ask for specific deliverables, such as pages optimized, articles written, links earned and technical fixes completed.
5. How do they build links?
Ask for examples of links they have earned for other clients. Be careful with offers of hundreds of links for a low price. Google treats link schemes as spam, and your site carries that risk, not the seller.
6. How will they report results?
Reports should show data from your own Google Search Console and Analytics accounts: search clicks, leads and sales, as well as rankings. Keep those accounts in your own name, so that your data stays with you if you change company.
7. Can they show real case studies?
Ask for a client in a similar business, what changed and over what period. Then look the site up yourself. Screenshots of rankings prove little, because they can be cherry-picked from phrases with no real search demand.
8. Does the price and contract make sense?
Published monthly packages in Bangladesh often start around ৳15,000 to ৳20,000, based on the limited public listings we could find, and the scope behind those numbers varies widely. Compare deliverables, not just the price. Some providers also ask for a minimum commitment of several months, which is reasonable for SEO as long as the exit terms are clear in writing.
How long should SEO take?
Expect months, not days. A new domain or a competitive keyword usually takes longer, while technical fixes on an established site can show results sooner. Be wary of anyone who promises a fixed date.
