Ask five companies what a website costs in Bangladesh and you can get five very different answers, sometimes ten times apart. Usually they are not pricing the same thing. This guide shows the published price ranges, explains what moves the number, and gives you a way to compare quotes fairly.
Published website prices in Bangladesh
These are starting prices from public listings, checked in November 2026. They are mostly low-end packages from marketplaces and small firms, so use them as a floor and not as a full project budget.
- Basic business website: around ৳15,000 to ৳25,000 in published small-firm packages
- Laravel or PHP ecommerce store: around ৳21,000 to ৳25,000 on BDStall's price list
- Shopify ecommerce store: around ৳32,000 on the same list
- Multi-vendor marketplace: from around ৳50,000 on the same list
Custom-designed sites and web apps cost more, because they are quoted from the actual work involved. There is no reliable published average for them, so the only useful figure is an itemized quote for your project.
What changes the price
Template or custom design
A template is faster and cheaper, and it is often enough for a new business. Custom design costs more because someone has to research, design and build each page for your brand.
Number of pages and features
A five-page company site is a small job. Booking systems, customer accounts, dashboards and multiple languages each add design, development and testing time.
Payment and delivery integrations
For an online store in Bangladesh, ask specifically about bKash, Nagad, card gateways, SMS notifications and courier integration. Low-priced packages do not always include them, and adding them later is a common source of extra charges.
Content and SEO setup
Writing, product photos and product entry take real time. So does basic SEO: page titles, a sitemap, fast loading and a clean mobile layout. Check who is responsible for each of these before you agree a price.
The costs that come after launch
The build fee is not the total cost of owning a website. Budget for these every year:
- Domain renewal
- Hosting, including whether renewal costs more than the first year
- SSL certificate, if it is not included with your hosting
- Paid themes, plugins or a monthly platform fee such as Shopify's
- Maintenance, backups and security updates
How to compare two quotes
Send every company the same written brief, then ask each one to confirm:
- Exactly which pages and features are included
- How many revision rounds you get
- Whether hosting, domain and integrations are in the price
- How long free bug fixes last after launch
- Whether you own the code, design files and domain once you have paid
A low quote that leaves out half of this list can end up costing more than a higher quote that includes it. For a longer checklist, read how to choose a web development agency.
